How do I clean the Crystal Filter?

Crystal Filter is easy to clean. Hydor recommend that media cleaning is only actioned when the flow of water from the outlet is around 50% lower than normal.
1.Unplug the unit from the power socket.
2. Unclip the pump and filter from the corner cradle. Hydor recommend only cleaning Any filter media in water drained from the aquarium into a bucket ( this ensures that the Media bacteria is not killed by tapwater )
3. Remove the black top of the filter and remove the carbon media chamber and put to one side.
4. Remove the sponge and give 2 squeezes in the bucket of aquarium water and then put back in the cannister. Unsnap the carbon cannister lid & throw away the Carbon. Add New carbon to the media chamber, close the lid and reassemble the product.
5. Re-insert the cannister and pump ( Bottom First ) Crystal is now ready to use again.
