• Is the temperature probe ok in water?

  Yes you can use the probe under water in an aquatic environment. In a vivarium the probe is ok out of water and is also safe if misted and gets wet.

• What Maintenance is required for the Hydroset?

  We recommend regular cleaning of the temperature probe. Otherwise no maintenance is required.

• What size of heater can I control with Hydroset?

  Heaters up to 500 w (300 w for USA) can be controlled with the Hydroset thermostat. Heaters can be either aquatic use or reptile use.

• What temperature can I set the Hydroset from/to?

  Hydor Hydroset can be set between 18 and 34 degrees Centigrade.

• Where should I position the temperature probe?

  Temperature probe should be attached using the suckers provided to the glass at the opposite end of the aquarium or vivarium for the best results. This will allow the thermostat to control the environment more accurately.
