What is the Maintenance schedule for Seltz D POND AC series pumps?

WARNING: before any kind of intervention, always disconnect the electrical supply of the pump and any other appliance placed in the water. Hydor recommend regular cleaning and maintenance, which will guarantee the pump better and longer performance. A visual check should be done especially to the intake grill monthly. Full cleaning as below should be undertaken every 3 months. Proceed as follows:
1. Remove the pump and disassemble as shown in fig. 6-7 of your instructions.
2. Clean the rotor assembly removing lime deposits with a soft brush. Do not use detergents and solvents.
3. Brush the grill under running water to clean it. To remove any lime deposits, disassemble the grill and soak it in vinegar for a few minutes then rinse it under lukewarm running water.
4. Reassemble everything in reverse order.
In case of abnormal noise and/or reduced performance caused by sudden changes in electricity supply, it is sufficient to restart the pump to eliminate any air trapped inside it.
